Who publishes this
Global Energy Report is an independent news site.
We are independent. No company, trade body, investor or government funds our coverage or reviews it before publication. We take no payment for coverage, and we do not publish sponsored posts or advertorials. If that ever changes, it will be labelled on the page and stated here.

How our articles are written
We use AI in our newsroom, and we would rather tell you plainly than have you guess.
Software finds stories, traces each one to the primary source that actually said it, and drafts the article from that source. A separate automated fact-check compares every claim in the draft against the source and flags anything the source does not support. Nothing publishes without a person reading it and approving it. A draft that fails the fact-check is held, not published.
What that means for you as a reader: the facts, figures and quotes come from the primary source, which we name and link at the bottom of every article. We do not generate quotes, and we do not use AI to create photographs or to alter them. Cover images are licensed photographs, credited on the page, or charts we drew from published data.
AI makes mistakes, and so do people. If you find one, tell us and we will fix it. See Removal and corrections.
Disclaimer
Global Energy Report is a news and information service. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, trading, tax, accounting, or legal advice. It is not an offer or a recommendation to buy or sell any security, commodity, or other asset.
Do your own research and speak with a licensed professional before making any financial decision. You are responsible for your own choices.
We work to be accurate, but the content is provided "as is." We do not warrant that it is complete, current, or error free. Market prices, charts, and forecasts come from third parties, may be delayed, and must not be relied on for trading. Forecast figures are projections, not guarantees.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Global Energy Report is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.
Terms of use
By using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Content is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may share links. Do not republish, resell, or redistribute our articles or data without written permission.
The site links to third-party sources and websites. Those links are not endorsements, and we are not responsible for third-party content, products, or privacy practices.
We may change, suspend, or remove any part of the site, and update these terms, at any time. The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind.
Removal and corrections
We trace every story to a primary source and write our own summaries. If you are a publisher, a company, or the subject of a story, you can ask us to correct or remove it.
Email hello@globalenergyreport.com with the page link, what is wrong, and who you are. We read every request and reply quickly, usually within one business day. You do not need a lawyer or a formal notice.
If we got a fact wrong, we will fix it or take the piece down. If you want a story, a quote, an image, or a source link removed, tell us and we will act. If a publisher asks us not to cite or link to their work, we will stop.
Copyright complaints
If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright, email hello@globalenergyreport.com. You do not need a formal notice to get our attention — describe the work and the page and we will look at it the same day.
To file a formal notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act, include: your signature (electronic is fine); identification of the work you say is infringed; the URL of the material you want removed; your address, telephone number and email; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
We are in the process of designating an agent with the US Copyright Office. Until that is published here, send notices to the email address above and we will act on them just the same.
If we remove something in response to a notice, we will tell whoever posted it and they may send a counter-notice. We end the accounts of repeat infringers.
Privacy
We keep data collection to a minimum. If you give us your email to receive the newsletter, we use it only to send that newsletter, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell your personal information.
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to see which pages people read and how fast the site loads. Both are cookieless. They set nothing on your device, do not track you across other sites, and do not build a profile of you. That is why you see no cookie banner here. Our hosting provider may log standard technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver and secure the site.
Some pages embed third-party content, such as TradingView charts, which may set their own cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies.
To ask about the data we hold, or to request deletion, contact us at the address in the footer.
Attributions and trademarks
Market prices and forecasts are from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), a U.S. government source in the public domain. Rig counts are from Baker Hughes. Interactive price charts are provided by TradingView.
Cover photographs are licensed from Wikimedia Commons and credited to the photographer and licence on every page they appear. A photograph that shows a specific, identifiable site is only used on a story about that site; every other photograph is captioned as an example and says so in words, so a reader is never invited to think it pictures the facility in the story. We do not use AI-generated or AI-altered images.
