Chevron Products Company will realign its North American base oils distribution network, naming HF Sinclair Lubricants & Specialties as its exclusive distributor of Group II base oils in Canada, effective May 1, 2027. The change also covers HF Sinclair's existing customer territories in the United States, and adds non-exclusive Group II distribution rights for HF Sinclair in select additional U.S. regions.
Renkert Oil will continue distributing Chevron's Paralux and Paramount process oils across the United States, Canada and Europe, along with NEXBASE Group III base oils in the U.S. and Canada. Renkert Oil also keeps distributing Chevron Group II base oils throughout the U.S. outside HF Sinclair's exclusive territory.
Customers need more than high-quality products, said Alicia Logan, general manager of Chevron Base Oils: "they need confidence in their supply partner."
HF Sinclair Lubricants & Specialties, which announced on July 28 the decision to retire its base oil refining assets in Mississauga, Ontario, brings an established logistics network and regional infrastructure that Chevron said will extend its reach across Canada and its expanded U.S. distribution footprint.
Chevron ranks among the top global suppliers of premium Group II, Group II+ and Group III base oils, and plans to add Group III+ to its lineup in early 2027. HF Sinclair Lubricants & Specialties is a segment of HF Sinclair Corporation, headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Renkert Oil, founded in 1987, has distributed Chevron base and process oils in North America for decades.
