Nvidia has made a strategic investment in Lancium and will deploy its full AI computing stack, including accelerated computing, networking and software, across Lancium's AI factory campuses. Lancium has 4 gigawatts of leased capacity and a development pipeline exceeding 15 gigawatts of powered land, the companies said.

Lancium is a Blackstone portfolio company backed by funds managed by Blackstone Energy Transition Partners and Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing. Under the partnership, Lancium's campuses will serve as deployment sites for Nvidia's technology, giving Nvidia's customers and partners access to large-scale, power-ready capacity for AI workloads.

The companies will use Nvidia DSX reference designs to accelerate deployments while improving performance per megawatt, time to first token, revenue potential and cost per token. Lancium will apply Nvidia DSX MaxLPS, which the companies say can fit up to 40% more GPUs within the same power budget, and DSX Flex, which adjusts an AI factory's power draw to match the grid.

Grid-responsive campuses

That flexibility supports what Lancium calls its model of reliable, grid-responsive campuses.

Michael McNamara, Lancium's CEO and co-founder, said partnering with Nvidia ensures every campus in the portfolio will carry "the industry's most advanced technology." Nico Caprez, Nvidia's vice president of global AI infrastructure growth, said the companies are "enabling a new generation of gigawatt-scale, power-ready AI factories."

Bilal Khan, senior managing director at Blackstone, said the deal reflects Lancium's position at the intersection of energy and AI infrastructure, two areas he called among Blackstone's highest-conviction investment themes.
