Woodway Energy Infrastructure has signed definitive agreements to develop, build, own and operate a 22-mile, 30-inch natural gas pipeline, the company said this week. The line will carry dedicated natural gas supply to a behind-the-meter power generation project built for a hyperscale data center. A behind-the-meter project generates power on site for a single customer, bypassing the public grid.
Woodway designed the pipeline around the customer's specific requirements and built in room for future scalability, the company said. It described the project as pairing gas supply with the customer's power needs while giving the customer operational flexibility to support its long-term growth.
"Woodway's ability to rapidly deliver large-scale, purpose-built natural gas infrastructure" is central to the project, said Diaco Aviki, the company's chief executive. Aviki said Woodway's model combines "tailored design, speed and focused execution" with long-term ownership and operation.
Woodway said the project adds to its broader portfolio of customized natural gas pipeline infrastructure serving energy demand across the United States.
Timeline
The pipeline is expected to enter commercial service in the first half of 2028, subject to customary regulatory reviews and approvals. Woodway will own and operate the line, backed by 24/7 control room monitoring.
