Worley has signed a reimbursable engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the CP2 Expansion project, according to a release from Worley. Venture Global is targeting a final investment decision on the expansion in early 2027.
What the contract covers
Until now, Worley has been providing early-stage engineering support on the CP2 Expansion under a Master Services Agreement. The new EPC contract follows that work. CP2 is a major LNG export facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, United States.
Worley already provides EPC services on Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the project. On the expansion, the work is led by Worley's Houston, Baton Rouge and Reading offices and supported by its Global Integrated Delivery (GID) team.
Worley's comments
Chris Ashton, Worley's Chief Executive Officer, said the company was proud to have extended its relationship with Venture Global on "one of the most strategically important LNG projects globally." He said the project is set to provide energy supply and security at an important time.
Ashton also said Worley has identified LNG as a priority growth market where it has an established leadership position and demonstrated execution capability at scale.
