Borr Drilling's August 2026 fleet status report lists seven jackups picking up new contracts, extensions or a letter of award, adding drilling work across Vietnam, Malaysia, Mexico, Ivory Coast and the Netherlands.
Vietnam and Malaysia
In Vietnam, the Idun rig secured a new contract with an undisclosed operator running from July to September 2026, then a follow-on contract with HLHV JOC from September to October 2026. The Gunnlod rig won a contract with PVEP-NCS covering August 2026 to April 2027. In Malaysia, the Mist rig secured a binding letter of award with Sarawak Shell for October to November 2026.
Netherlands, Ivory Coast and Mexico
The Prospector 1 rig obtained a contract extension with ONE-Dyas in the Netherlands, running from September 2026 to April 2027. In Ivory Coast, the Gerd rig secured an extension with Foxtrot International covering February to March 2027. In Mexico, the Galar and Gersemi rigs each received extensions with Pemex, both running from May 2028 to May 2030, the longest-dated awards in the report.
Other fleet moves this month
Elsewhere in Borr's fleet, the Skald rig started work with Vestigo Petroleum in Malaysia in late May. The Prospector 5 rig finished a job with Eni in Congo and began work with BW Energy in Gabon in early July. The Sif rig began operating with Petronas in Suriname in mid-July. The Thor rig wrapped up its Vietnam contract with HLHV JOC and moved directly into a contract with PVEP-Cuulong. The Odin rig began mobilizing in mid-August to an undisclosed operator's location offshore Texas.
