Equinor ASA bought back 729,372 of its own shares between August 3 and August 7, 2026, paying a weighted average price of NOK 376.1263 per share for a total of NOK 274,335,960.67, the company said in a stock exchange filing. All of the purchases took place on the Oslo Stock Exchange (OSE) under the third tranche of Equinor's 2026 share buyback program, which the company announced on July 22, 2026. That tranche runs from July 23 to no later than October 26, 2026.

After the latest purchases, Equinor ASA holds 15,865,147 of its own shares, equal to 0.66% of its share capital. That figure includes shares held under Equinor's employee share savings program. Excluding that program, Equinor owns 5,144,347 own shares, or 0.22% of the share capital.
