PJM has opened registration for its first GridAdvance Summit, an event built around applying artificial intelligence to grid operations. The summit runs Oct. 15 at the PJM Conference and Training Center and will also stream virtually.

The event brings together PJM stakeholders, ISO/RTO leaders and outside innovators for sessions centered on PJM-specific opportunities and actionable use cases, rather than broader industry trends. PJM said the aim is to explore applications that can improve reliability, affordability and operational efficiency across the RTO.

Sessions

Le Xie, a PJM board member and cofounder of the Power and AI Initiative at Harvard University, will deliver the keynote address. The agenda also includes a CEO-level fireside discussion with RTO and ISO leadership, along with three panel discussions covering grid operations, risk and interconnection planning.

Attendance

There is no fee to attend, and PJM said space is limited, encouraging early registration. In-person attendance is intended for innovation and technology leaders and practitioners actively working on AI, digital transformation and grid modernization. A virtual option is available for those who do not need to attend in person.
