Baker Hughes has signed a Power Frame Agreement with Venture Global and GE Vernova that covers up to 16 new power island units for behind-the-meter generation in the United States. The company announced the deal on Oct. 15, 2026.
The framework is built to support Venture Global's LNG production and liquefaction, and possible future data center projects next to its LNG sites. It sets terms for gas turbines, steam turbines and associated equipment and services. Baker Hughes will also supply the controls and electrical integration technology each island needs, including the E-house and electrical control systems.
Timing and orders
Deliveries under the agreement are scheduled from 2028 through 2034. Venture Global expects to place the first power island purchase order by the end of 2026, with more orders anticipated from 2027.
A repeat of what is already built
The agreement builds on the LNG power island design Baker Hughes has already deployed at Venture Global facilities. Baker Hughes describes it as a repeatable model for behind-the-meter power at scale. Chairman and CEO Lorenzo Simonelli said the framework will replicate what the company has already built with Venture Global, to develop more power quickly, safely and at scale.
We reported earlier that FERC opened a scoping period for Venture Global's CP2 LNG expansion.
