Indonesia Energy Corporation, an upstream oil and gas company focused on Indonesia, said its K-29 well has drilled past 2,500 feet on the way to a planned total depth of about 3,400 feet. The well was spudded on July 25, 2026, on IEC's Kruh Block on the island of Sumatra, and drilling is continuing as planned.

IEC expects to reach its targeted reservoir zone at around 3,000 feet. There, the company plans a coring job to determine the best stimulation method for the rock, aimed at maintaining and improving the well's initial production. Drilling will then continue to total depth, followed by wireline logging, casing and cementing, and perforation, before the well is readied for production. IEC said that final phase will take several more weeks and that it plans to give an update once all well work is complete.

K-29 sits within IEC's 63,000-acre Kruh Block. Once K-29 is finished, IEC plans to start drilling at the WK-5 wellsite, also on the Kruh Block, as part of its ongoing development program there. Preparatory work at WK-5 is progressing as planned.

Ingriselli to present at EnerCom conference

IEC President Frank Ingriselli will present at the 31st Annual EnerCom Energy Investment Conference on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 11:25 a.m. MDT at the Westin Denver Downtown. IEC expects Ingriselli to also take part in an interview during the conference, which the company plans to post on its website afterward.

Ingriselli said drilling at K-29 "remains on schedule as we approach the targeted reservoir zone." He said IEC will move to WK-5 once K-29 is complete, and that the company's Indonesian assets offer "significant development potential."
