InventHelp says a Cedar Hill, Texas inventor has developed a portable toilet accessory called the EMERGEN-SEAT, meant for use when a home's water supply is shut off.
The inventor said the idea followed concern about the power grid being disabled during a national emergency. "You can use the toilet when the water is disabled," the inventor said of the design.
The accessory is meant for situations where water service stops, including natural disasters, a broken water main, or other plumbing problems. InventHelp said it gives a way to dispose of waste that also controls odor and staining in the toilet bowl.
The design is portable and built from eco-friendly materials, according to InventHelp, which said it could suit disaster preppers, households, hospitals, truckers, and farm workers.
The EMERGEN-SEAT was submitted through InventHelp's National sales office and is now available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
