Landis+Gyr added Future Grid and Operational Technology Solutions (OTS) to its Edge Application Ecosystem in Australia, the company said Aug. 10, 2026. The additions bring new software onto a platform utilities use to analyze data in real time at the edge of the grid.
Landis+Gyr's Edge App Ecosystem is an open platform that lets outside developers build analytics and operational tools utilities can add to their networks. Applications built for the ecosystem run on Landis+Gyr's Revelo grid-sensing platform. The company said growing use of distributed energy resources is adding complexity to grid operations, and utilities need real-time visibility to make faster decisions while keeping the system reliable.
New partners
Future Grid is a SaaS platform that manages low-voltage distribution networks in real time. It uses grid intelligence technology and AI-optimized analytics to turn large volumes of data into a risk matrix of actions used by compliance teams, field crews, grid planners and control rooms, according to Landis+Gyr.
OTS brings expertise in data analytics, edge sensors and real-time systems, and works with utilities to automate insights from large-scale data and support digital transformation efforts, Landis+Gyr said.
Future Grid and OTS join an existing group of ecosystem partners that includes Sense and Mitsubishi Electric.

David Maclean, Landis+Gyr's senior vice president for APAC, said the Edge Apps Ecosystem lets utilities "rapidly adopt new applications and unlock AI-driven insights." He added that innovation at the grid edge "should be simple, scalable, and impactful."
Landis+Gyr describes itself as a global energy technology company whose systems are used by more than 2,000 electric, gas and water utilities worldwide. The company said it plans to keep expanding the ecosystem by working with utilities and partners to build new edge applications for the power grid together.
