A data center campus planned for Hall County, Texas, is expected to bring more than $10 billion in capital investment to the region, QTS Data Centers and Lancium said. QTS will handle the design, construction and operation of the data center buildings, which will rise on Lancium's Clean Campus near Turkey, Texas.

The permanent roles include QTS staff, maintenance, security and tenant positions. QTS and Lancium said the campus will add tax revenue for Turkey and Hall County and that they will work with local schools and workforce programs to build pathways into construction and data center jobs.
"Hall County has always been built on hardworking people and strong communities," said Hall County Judge Ray Powell.
Privately funded power infrastructure
Lancium and QTS will privately fund all of the energy infrastructure upgrades the campus needs. Lancium, as the campus owner, will supply the electrical and civil infrastructure and plans to bring its own power to the site with battery storage and solar resources, work the companies say is also meant to modernize the grid and keep service reliable for existing customers.
"We're proud to partner with QTS on this project," said Michael McNamara, founder and CEO of Lancium.
Closed-loop cooling to limit water use
The campus will use a closed-loop cooling system, which does not draw water for cooling once it is running, cutting water use compared with traditional cooling methods. Water for the site is expected to come from onsite wells or approved external sources rather than Turkey's municipal water system.
"Our goal is to be a responsible neighbor," said QTS co-CEOs Tag Greason and David Robey.
QTS and Lancium said they plan to hold regular public meetings with Hall County residents and community leaders as the project moves forward.
