TGS has extended its agreement with Aker BP for Prediktor Data Gateway, taking the data setup used in the Yggdrasil area to a broader scope across the company. TGS describes itself as a global provider of energy data and intelligence.
What the extended agreement covers
Under the extension, Prediktor Data Gateway keeps its role as a process data server and operational data infrastructure layer. It gives secure access to real-time data from operational technology systems. The software standardizes how process data is collected, structured and passed on to enterprise systems, analytics and digital applications.
The extension builds on the Yggdrasil collaboration announced in 2024. Aker BP picked Prediktor Data Gateway then as part of a digital ecosystem supporting remote operations, unmanned production platforms and data-driven work processes. TGS says the wider agreement supports a more consistent digital foundation across the organization and fits Aker BP's broader digitalization strategy.
How the software works
Prediktor Data Gateway collects high-resolution operational data from sensors, devices, machines and automation systems across a range of industrial protocols. It makes that data available through standard interfaces to enterprise platforms, analytics tools and other applications. TGS says it supports data quality and continuity.
The product supports OPC UA and standardized information models. TGS says this reduces integration complexity while keeping flexibility across existing and future systems, and allows incremental modernization without replacing established operational technology wholesale.
What the companies said
Paula Doyle, CDO at Aker BP, said the data foundation matters to the company's operations and to how it scales digital solutions. She said the extension builds on a collaboration that has already proven its value.
Will Ashby, EVP Business Development at TGS, said the collaboration has grown from supporting a major development at Yggdrasil to enabling a broader digital foundation across the organization. He said it shows the value of building on proven infrastructure and scaling it consistently as operational needs, analytics and AI develop. Morten Enholm, Director and Fellow, Industrial Data Strategy at TGS Prediktor, is also named in the announcement.
