UK Oil & Gas PLC, listed on London's AIM market under the ticker UKOG, is changing its name to UK Energy Group PLC. The company said the new name, which will trade as 'UKEn', reflects its exit from the UK onshore oil and gas sector and a shift in strategy toward geological energy storage, including hydrogen, and related clean power.

The change takes effect on the London Stock Exchange on Friday 11 September 2026. From that date the company's ticker symbol will change from UKOG to UKEN, and its website will move to www.ukenplc.com. The company's ISIN will not change.

UK Oil & Gas said the UKEn brand is already established in the UK hydrogen storage sector through its subsidiary, UK Energy Storage Ltd, and that the new name gives it scope to pursue other international energy ventures as they arise.

The company said the name change does not affect shareholders' rights, and that existing share certificates remain valid and should be kept.
