McDermott and Doosan Enerbility have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to jointly evaluate projects in the power generation market, including gas turbines, generators and related equipment and services.
What the framework covers
Under the MOU, the two companies will look at ways to support growing power demand, including behind-the-meter power generation for data centers. They will also evaluate delivery approaches meant to improve efficiency, cut response times and lower project risk.
What the companies said
Rob Shaul, McDermott's senior vice president of low carbon solutions, said the MOU reflects the company's commitment to working with "industry-leading technology providers" to deliver integrated solutions for the energy market. Shaul said the collaboration lets the two companies combine their strengths to improve project execution and customer outcomes.
Jaekap Kim, Doosan Enerbility's senior vice president of power service sales and marketing, said the agreement establishes a "framework for collaboration" with McDermott. Kim said the companies' combined expertise in power generation technology and project delivery positions them to evaluate opportunities for customers worldwide.
