NANO Nuclear, listed on Nasdaq as NNE, is developing several microreactor designs. Its KRONOS MMR, a stationary high-temperature gas-cooled reactor, is in construction permit pre-application engagement with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission alongside the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The company is also developing ZEUS, a portable solid-core battery reactor, and LOKI MMR, a portable, space-focused design.

Subsidiary Advanced Fuel Transportation holds an exclusive license for a patented high-capacity transportation basket for High-Assay, Low-Enriched Uranium, or HALEU, fuel, developed by three U.S. national nuclear laboratories and funded by the Department of Energy. Advanced Fuel Transportation expanded in May 2026 through its acquisition of Secured Transportation Services. A separate subsidiary, HALEU Energy Fuel, is working toward a domestic HALEU fuel fabrication supply chain for NANO Nuclear's own reactors and the wider advanced nuclear industry.
