The UK Government has revised its annual domestic energy bill statistics back to 2018 after identifying a calculation error in the series, according to an update to its statistical data set on annual domestic energy prices. The correction touches eight tables: 2.2.1 through 2.2.4, which track average annual domestic electricity bills, and 2.3.1 through 2.3.4, which track average annual domestic gas bills.
The data set also includes separate tables on average annual bills by consumption level, covering electricity (table 2.2.5) and gas (table 2.3.5), plus statistics on household expenditure on fuel.
The update is one of dozens the UK Government has logged on this data set over time. This one corrects a calculation error.
