Marine Petroleum Trust unitholders are getting a smaller distribution than last quarter, though still far more than a year ago. The trust (NASDAQ: MARPS) declared a payout of $0.095378 per unit on August 21, payable September 28, 2026, to unitholders of record as of August 31, 2026.

Down from last quarter

The new payout is below the $0.096470 per unit distributed last quarter. Marine said the volume of oil and natural gas it produced fell from the prior quarter. The price it realized for oil rose over that period, while its natural gas price fell.

Up from a year ago

Compared with the same quarter in 2025, when Marine paid $0.068097 per unit, the new distribution is higher. The trust said both its oil and natural gas volumes increased from that quarter, and its realized oil price rose again, while its natural gas price fell.

Why the payout lags production

Marine sets each distribution from royalties it has collected up to the declaration date. It generally receives oil royalties two months after production and natural gas royalties three months after production, so each payout reflects sales made earlier in the year.
