The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission published its latest biweekly notice on amendments to facility operating licenses and combined licenses under section 189a(2) of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954. The notice covers amendments the agency has issued, or proposes to issue, from July 21 to August 3, 2026. The previous biweekly notice was published August 4, 2026.
For each amendment request in the notice, the NRC found the licensee's supporting analysis sufficient to back a preliminary finding of no significant hazards consideration. Under 10 CFR 50.92, that finding means the amendment would not raise the probability or consequences of an accident the agency has already evaluated, and would not create the possibility of a new or different kind of accident.
The public can comment on the notice through September 17, 2026. Requests for a hearing or petitions to intervene are due October 19, 2026. The NRC asks commenters to file electronically at regulations.gov under Docket ID NRC-2026-3994, and to include the facility name, unit number, docket number and application date tied to the amendment they are addressing.
